Smart Laser DLP-400 – industrial 3D printing with elastomers

Smart Laser DLP-400 is an advanced industrial 3D printer designed for producing parts from light-curing materials, with particular emphasis on elastomer resins.

The device uses the technology DLP – Digital Light Processing, in which the entire model layer is cured at once. This makes it possible to achieve high process efficiency, especially when printing many parts simultaneously on one build platform.

The working area is 384 × 216 × 400 mm, so the device can produce both large single models and entire series of smaller parts. The resolution of the device is 100 μm.

Smart Laser DLP-400 is available in two light source configurations:

• LED 4K UV – wavelength 385/405 nm, print speed up to 75 mm/h,
• LD 4K UV – wavelength 405 nm, print speed up to 125 mm/h.

Dedicated to elastomer printing

Smart Laser DLP-400 has been adapted to work with elastomer resins. The device uses a special release film dedicated to elastomers, which enables stable production of highly flexible models and complex three-dimensional structures.

The example elastomer resin presented in the device documentation is characterised by:

• hardness 75 Shore A,
• tear strength 32 kN/m,
• elongation at break 520%,
• Ross Flexing bending resistance above 110,000 cycles,
• resilience 40%.

This makes it possible to produce parts that must retain flexibility, resilience and resistance to repeated deformation.

High printing speed

Depending on the device version, the print speed is up to 75 or 125 mm/h, which significantly shortens model production time and increases production efficiency.

Large working area

Working space 384 × 216 × 400 mm allows larger models or many smaller parts to be produced at the same time.

Series production

DLP technology makes efficient use of the build platform surface. Increasing the number of parts printed simultaneously can significantly improve production economics.

Printing flexible parts

The device has been adapted to work with elastomers, making it possible to produce parts with high flexibility and resistance to repeated bending.

High process repeatability

The industrial construction and stable DLP system allow the device to be used for repeatable production of larger series of parts.

Wide design possibilities

The technology makes it possible to produce complex geometries, lattice and three-dimensional structures that can be very difficult or costly to produce using traditional methods.
